National Seminar on Youth and Skill Development in North East India

National Skill Development Mission (NSDM) has been initiated to re-examine the increasing need for technical and non technical skill development to meet the labour market aspirations of the people at large and the youth in particular irrespective for urban and rural areas.

This seminar is aimed to understand the different skill development tools those can be used to solve the emerging labour market challenges of youth unemployment along with the various expertise  discussions issues pertaining to youths and skills from the perspective of the north eastern region of India in the broader Indian canvas.National Seminar on Youth and Skill Development in North East India

 

Objective of the Seminar :

1. To examine the current status of research, policy and discourse relating to Youth and Skill Development in India in general and North East India in particular.

2. To highlight and evaluate various skill development initiatives of the government and private organisations

3. To suggest policy measures to effectively promote the skill development initiatives in various sectors in the context of North East India.

Who can Participate : 

Seminar will be organized in various technical sessions on the basis of major themes  followed by paper presentations. Academics, Government Officials,NGOs, Researchers and Activists dealing and working on mentioned issues preferably from the eight states of North East India can participate the seminar. all submitted abstracts must be sent to deigracianongkynrih@yahoo.co.in

Last date to apply :

The last date for submission of abstract is 20th February, 2015
The last date for submission of final paper is 5th March, 2015.

 Seminar Dates :
The said seminar will be started from 19th to 20th March, 2015 (Thursday & Friday).
