Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, Shivaji University, Kolhapur is organizing 2 days national seminar  on social discrimination and media  in contemporary Indian society from 23 & 24 February 2015. Major objectives are targeted on the various issues of media & social in the context of contemporary Indian society. Focus will also be given during the seminar about the scholars, researchers, academicians, experts, leaders, journalists sensitization on the issues of media and social discrimination. Other discussions will be also be done about the other socially excluded communities along with understanding the
operational issues and thoughts.

I. Indian Media and its contribution in social inclusion process.
II· Role of media in advocating and addressing the issues of Dalits and Tribes.
III. Role of media in advocating and addressing the issues of marginalized sections of the society.
IV· Media and issues of discriminatory society.
V· Job market discrimination at media houses.
VI· Media advocacy and challenges in the context of Indian society
VII· Role of Media in upliftment of marginal section of the society

Students/ research students/ fellows are required to produce identity proof while submitting the documents as well as at the time registration. Candidates are requested to pay the fees by cash or Demand Draft  whereas DD should be drawn in the favour of Fianance and Account Officer, Shivaji Unviersity, Kolhapur

– NGO’s/ Individuals/ Journalists/ Activists/ – Rs. 600/-
– Research Students without fellowship/Students – Rs. 300/-
