Interested Indian citizen candidates holding a Ph.D. degree not more than 2 years in Science or Engineering, or M.D or M.S degree in any area of medicine are requested by the Science & Engineering Research Board ( SERB ) , Delhi for the National Post Doctoral Fellowship 2016 . This fellowship is aimed to motivate Indian young researchers and also provide them financial support for doing research in frontier areas of science and engineering. Every researcher age must be below 35 years and also must be mentored by individual senior council/delegates/professor . Relaxation of 5 years is applicable to SC/ST candidates.

Financial Support :
1. Before apply for this National Post Doctoral Fellowship 2016 , applicants must be ensured that the concern institution will provide them sufficient infra-structure for their post doctoral work.
2. Applicants are advised to avoid their parent Phd availed institution and mentor during the applying for this fellowship.
3. National Post Doctoral Fellowship 2016 is purely a period of 2 years subject to extend for one more year on demand of the project. Candidates must avail only one fellowship at one time. SERB reserves the right to terminate the fellowship at any stage.
