Interested candidates are advised to submit online applications for admission to the Ph.D. programme (Regular category) under CSIR-JRF scheme for Department of Chemistry of the Institute . 

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for Admission : 

Applying  candidate must satisfy one of the following criteria for admission as below – 

1. A valid CSIR–JRF qualification Proof

2. Master’s degree in Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Biosciences with minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.

3.   Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks.

4.  Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Science from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)/Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0

5.  Four-year Bachelor’s degree in a related area in Engineering/Technology /Science (from other than IITs/IISc )

6. Relaxation as per GOI policy-

Minimum Documents to be Submitted :

1.  Proof of valid CSIR-JRF certificate
2. Endorsement letter/Email copy from the proposed mentor from the Department of Chemistry
3. Proof of previous qualifications/experiences

Selection Procedure :  A  PI  must be carried out for the selection of the candidates for General Merit List – 8 Candidates , 4  OBC Candidates  , 2 SC Candidates whereas 1 ST Candidate.
