For participation in the one Week AICTE sponsored Short Term Course under NEQIP organised by Chemical Engineering Department, Assam Engineering College , application forms are invited from teachers of Engineering Colleges and practicing engineers from industries/ R & D institutions The application form is available and downloadable from the website of Assam Engineering College: www.aec.ac.in .
Applicants may also apply on plain paper indicating Name, Designation, Institution, Residential & Mailing address (postal & e-mail) Phone & Fax no., Qualification, Experience (total) with date of joining to a substantive post, duly forwarded by the Head of the Institution.
What is Environmental Impact Assessment:
It is an important management tool for ensuring optimal use of natural resources for sustainable development. A beginning of this tool was made in our country with the impact assessment of river valley projects in 1978-79. This process has subsequently been enhanced to study other developmental sectors such as industries, thermal power projects, river valley projects, nuclear power stations, mining schemes etc. So this course would become an inspiration those who aspire to be part of development processes with their engineering skills, knowledge and positive attitude.
Course Fees :
Full time teaching faculties from AICTE approved colleges are not required to pay course fees. For them course will be delivered to them free of cost. But for the participants from Industries/Business/R&D institutions, a non refundable nominal registration fee of Rs.3000/- is to be submitted.
No cash payment is allowed only DD/Bankers Cheque in favour of ‘PRINCIPAL, AEC’ payable at Guwahati along with the application form has to be submitted . The demand draft will be refunded if the applicant is not selected for the course.
