A Two Days Science Fair will be held at Assam Engineering Institute, Chandmari , Assam. A joint initiative of Cotton College State University and Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology, Assam has been initiated since 2014 with the motive to expand the applied knowledge of science in different directions of latest trends of life that how they can be implemented for the better future of human kind and nature among the students.. This time, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) and Assam Don Bosco University will be participated as co-partners.
Science Fair will be celebrated over two days, on the 28th of February and 29th of February.
The major events are as follows –
- Exhibition with exhibits from different research groups, institutes, organizations, illustrating their work.
- Exhibition with exhibits from College and School students, with prizes for the best entries in different categories (Classes VIII to XII; undergraduate students and above)
- Popular-level talks on different scientific topics
- Shows of films on science-related themes
- Quiz competition with questions on science-related themes in two categories (Classes VIII to XII; undergraduate students and above) for teams of two members
- Short presentations on specific science themes in two categories (Classes VIII to XII; undergraduate students and above)
- Mathematical and Statistical puzzle solving
