Participants working in university, college, public and special libraries and Library Information Science faculties especially from North East India are invited to join a Two-Day National Workshop on  Prospects of Consortia for North East lndia Libraries  which is being organized by the Department of Library and information Science, Gauhati University, Guwahati (Assam) in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts (IGNCA) on March 17-18,2016.

Major discussion of the Workshop : 

Few main points will be discussed on certain vital issues – they are like –

1. MOU among member libraries;
2. Conversion to a standard common database preferably for KOHA;
3. Services to be extended after implementation;
4. Negotiation with the publishers for their inputs;
5. Generation of resources for its establishment and continuity.
