National Workshop on Community College : Desired Model for India

Tezpur University , Tezpur is organizing 2 days national workshop on the title  Community College : Desired Model for India from April 20-21, 2015 which will discuss the formation of ways that help to establish and structure of Community College, courses to be offered in Indian colleges and linkages with work fields.

What is Community College :

Community college reforms the Indian  higher education via development of communities on the basis of their strength . It reduces gaps between market demand  and supply of skilled workforce so that the economic growth of the country is maintained. The XII plan document on Higher Education has recommended the Top education councils like  UGC / AICTE for set up community colleges for not create another pool of educated unemployed youths in society.

Objective of the Workshop :

1. To discuss about various models of community colleges
2. To establishment of community college either as a separate entity in an existing college/university or in a polytechnic or a new and independent community college
3. To explain various aspects of UGC/AICTE Schemes of Community College, on establishment of UGC/AICTE model Community College/Polytechnic
4. To understand the job market


Who can participate the Workshop:  Principals/Nodal Teachers/Coordinators of colleges, polytechnics, other organizations members may join this workshop

No of Seats :  Total 60 participants can join this workshop.

Registration Fee  for Workshop :  A very nominal registration fees has to be paid by the candidates –
Residential ` 5,000/- • Non Residential ` 2,500/- (Residential fee includes accommodation in University Guest House with Dinner for 3 days). Banks DD must be obtained  In favour of Registrar, Tezpur University, payable at Tezpur.
