The University Grants Commission (UGC) had introduced a scheme during its the X Plan which called “College with Potential for Excellence” (CPE). This Scheme is announced to identify top colleges in India which have managed to achieve high standards in teaching, research and extension activities and hold promise of excellence. Once any college is covered under CPE Scheme then the select college will be provided substantial funds to improve and strengthen its infrastructure that would help it in attaining further higher academic standards.
Cotton college , Guwahati which has been already selected by the CPE Scheme , now imparts in a Skill Development Workshop sponsored by UGC – CPE . EDC – Employment Development Centre , Cotton college , Guwahati has taken this initiative to increase the future entrepreneurial endeavors among the students.
