Objectives of the Training Programme :
 To familiarize participants with the historical background and the concepts of Open Source Library application Software;
 To familiarize participants with the concepts of Open Source Software based library Automation
 To facilitate to acquire hands-on technical expertise to implement and manage KOHA Library Automation Software;
 To offer hands-on experience to explore and manage core modules of KOHA along with valueadded and additional feature and utilities of the software;
 To familiarize participants with the historical background and the concepts and salient feature of free open source Digital Library Software Dsapce/ GSDL and many other software ;
 To help participants to develop Institutional Repositories / Local Digital Library using Dspace/ GSDL; and
 To provide hands –on practice for using Dspace/ GSDL for designing and developing Institutional Repositories and Digital Library using Open Source Software

 Library and Information Professionals working in colleges and universities;
 Teachers of Library and Information Science;
 Research Scholars and LIS students;
 Working College, School Librarians;
 College/ University Library Staff;
 Library and Information Science students and research scholars ;
