1.What is Information?

Ans: Information is data, processed through any form of communication that provides logical and valuable knowledge for the person receiving it.

Basically Information relates four points –

Communication Channel
Readable language
Formation of proper structure
Relevant to receiver

2. What does Technology mean?

Ans: Technology means application of scientific knowledge like machinery and devices developed from scientific knowledge for practical purposes of human beings. In short, technology refers to any purposeful application of information

3. What is Information Technology?

Ans: Information Technology is used to deal with “data” and “information”. Information Technology relates to creating, storing, and transferring of data in form of information.

4. What is a Program?

Ans: Program is a set of instructions written to perform some specific tasks.

5. What is a computer?

Ans: Computer is a programmable device used for production and processing of information. Programs are stored in Computer Memory.

6.What are input devices and output devices?

Ans: Input devices are used to enter data into computer for manipulating and processing. Example of input devices are Keyboard, Mouse, Light Pen, Joysticks .Output devices are used to display the processed information in readable format. Output devices are Monitor, Printer etc.

7. How computer processes information?

Ans: First, Computers collect data from input devices. Central processing Unit (CPU) is responsible for translation of input data into binary numbers and then processing of data. Final processed data will be displayed through output devices. This model is also known as Black Box Model.
