For admission into MPhil Course session 2016-17 in Geography, Gauhati University , interested candidates are requested to appear a written Entrance Test Examination of 100 marks. Minimum qualification for appear into MPhil Course entrance exam is MA/MSc in Geography from any recognize universities of India.

Format of the question paper for Entrance Test Examination is as follows – long type or descriptive type questions for 50 marks, short type or short brief type questions for 30 marks while only 20 marks is set for very short questions type. Total marks will be covered from the above course content 100 marks. Duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Total No of Seats for admission in MPhil Course 2016-2017 is 8 ( eight only )
The Entrance Test Examination for selection of the candidates to fill up the seats for admission into MPhil-Course will be held on 28th May , 2016.
Venue of the Exam: Dept. of Geography, Gauhati University. Said exam will be carried out from 12 Noon .
