Admission to 3rd Phase of Institute Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme , IIT Guwahati

Applications are invited from candidates holding Ph.D degree for admission to 3^rd phase of Institute Post Doctoral Fellowship (IPDF) programme at IIT Guwahati. Department of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Design, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Physics are participated for IPDF programme.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applying candidates must have Ph.D degree holders on above said programmes. Candidates must be below 35 years of age with maximum five years after completion of Ph.D. . Relaxation for women and reserved (SC/ST/ PwD) category is also be considered during the time of admission.

Selection Procedure:

All received applications will be shortlisted by the respective Departments for interview.
Candidates will receive call letter for their interview at respective departments.
After interview , shortlisted candidates will be informed to admission for their Post Doctoral Programme.

Duration of Programme:

The duration of the fellowship will be initially for a period of 2 years which will be extendable for a further period of one more year based on the progress of the IPDF and the recommendation of Performance Assessment Committee (PAC).

Travel Expense : Candidates those are called for interview will be eligible for reimbursement up to AC II tier railway fare by the shortest route.

Last date for receipt of completed application forms:

Applying candidates are advised to send completed applications forms to reach by the Academic Affairs Section of IITG on or before March 16, 2015 (Monday). Authority will consider those forms which will be reached on or before 16 March , 2015 for the Third phase of Interview. The candidate may send the soft copy first to meet the deadline, followed by the hard copy. Candidates failing to send the applications within the deadline (March 16, 2015), will be considered in the next phase.
