School on Gravitation and Cosmology : Assam University

Dept. Of Physics Assam University, Silchar is organizing a workshop on “GRAVITATION AND COSMOLOGY”
for the students of final year Master and first year PhD students of various institutions of
North-Eastern states of India.

Only a maximum of 3 students can participate from each institute in this workshop.

Mission : To create an environment among students to the field of Cosmology.

Topics covered:
– General theory of relativity
– Observational cosmology
– Cosmological models
– Early and late time acceleration

Interested students should send us a brief CV along with recommendation on and before December 5, 2014.

Boarding and lodging will be arranged for selected students. We may provide second class train/bus fare
(on production of ticket) to a few selected outstation participants.
