National Workshop at AEC Guwahati
This will be the 4th of the series of workshops organised by the departments of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering at Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, India during September 26 – 27, 2014. The first of this kind, the ‘National Symposium on High Performance Computing’ was organised in the year 2012. This was renamed as WACC and was organised in the month of April, 2013 as a national-level workshop ‘WACC 2013’. In October of the same year, the previously planned ‘National Symposium on High Performance Computing – in Academia and Beyond’ was organised in collaboration with C-DAC Pune.
The idea and motive of WACC has been to promote academic, research and professional experience of experts and individuals in various fields of communication and computing. It is being organised to encourage students for innovation, and to provide a incubation platform for researchers and students to indulge in advance study and research in these areas. WACC 2014 will focus on comprehensive plenary talks by reputed academicians and researchers, tutorials by experts from academics and industries, and technical sessions for paper presentation. In addition to these, participants and students in general will have opportunity for hands-on experience on recent tools and technologies in laboratory sessions to be conducted by reputed industries.
