Online applications are invited from HSLC passed interested candidates for the entrance examination, Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2015 under , Directorate of Technical Education Assam which will be held 14 major centres of Assam for admission into the different Polytechnics for Diploma Level Engineering Courses for the session 2015-16.
Education Qualification :
All Polytechnics have been set up to provide facilities for study in Diploma and Certificate Courses in Engineering and Technology after completion of HSLC or Metric level examination. All candidates who are qualified the 10+ exam they can sit for the exam. The main objective of the Polytechnic courses of studies is to produce technicians at supervisory level to meet the demand of technical manpower in various field of development in Assam.
1. 40% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for General candidates
2. 35% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
3. 33% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates.

About the Admission Test :PAT 2015 will be held in all the Polytechnics of Assam. There will be one question paper of the subjects -Science and Mathematics of 100 marks for 2 hours of duration. The question paper will be of H.S.L.C. level standard. Candidates are requested to study well in both mentioned subjects to score maximum in the exam. The questions will be of objective types with multiple choice answer for the examinations.
Registration Process :
1. Before applying for the test , candidates are advised to read carefully all the important instruction that given in the information brochure .
2. Depending on the interest of the various courses of candidates, they have given option to apply for the test either in A. Diploma Courses or B. Diploma Course of Modern Office Management.
3. Once chosen the respective diploma course, online application form will be displayed. Candidates are advised to put all correct information as suggested in the form to avoid cancellation of the chance to appear in the exam.
4. Once submitted completed form application number will be generated along the bank challan for deposit Rs. 400/- in any Branch of SBI.
5. Log on to www.dteassam.in and click on Online Application for PAT 2015. In the next page, click on “Applicant Login” situated in the top Menu bar, an Applicant Login Screen will appear. Sign in your account using your ‘Application Number’ & your ‘Date of Birth’.
6. Submit the Application form along with the DTE copy of Bank Challan through Speed post to the following address:
