One day Science Seminar is being organized by Regional Science Centre (RSC), Guwahati in collaboration with department of Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam for the year 2016. The seminar is going to be held on 26th August, 2016.
Candidates must qualify the district level science competition for participating into the state level science seminar. Only two qualified candidates per district will eligible for participation into seminar.
Theme of the Science Seminar for year 2016 is “Pulses for Sustainable Food Security: Prospects and Challenges”
Accommodation & Traveling Allowance:
As per policy, RSC Guwahati is decided to provide free accommodation to the participating candidates lead by their mentors for minimum 2 days -24th and 25th August, 2016. Travelling allowance will be reimbursed subject to procurement of original tickets.
Rules & Regulation for Participation:
To participate into the science seminar, candidates must belong to High School students from Class VIII to Class X. Students can choose Assamese, Hindi, English, or any recognized Indian language while preparing their seminar papers.
Participants will be selected based on their presentation contents, fluency in language, ability to answering aptitude and oral questions and finally use of visuals during presentation if any like Charts / Posters and computer based slides.
State level science seminar winners will represent Assam for the National Science Seminar which will be held Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai
Interested schools and students are requested to contact their respective Districts Inspector of Schools. Schools are also requested to guide their students to complete the registration process for district level science seminars.
