As an annual tradition of Techniche, the students of IIT Guwahati organize The Guwahati Half Marathon. One of the largest such events to be organized by a student body, the Marathon has evolved coherently over the years since it’s inception in 2009 to become the largest half Marathon in North East India.

The 2013 edition will be the 5th incarnation of the mega running event and this year, under the umbrella of our Nationwide Social Campaign we plan to do our best in making a difference to the society by lending a helping hand wherever we can.The Campaign would be culminating with the Guwahati Half Marathon on 25th August

The Guwahati Half Marathon’13 would be more than just a run; it would be the face of a social campaign, which would serve as a step in our endeavor to instigate the sense of urgency and inculcate the importance of creating a better society to live in among today’s youth.

Hence, the Marathon’s tag line for 2013 has been set as “Run for a better tomorrow” and would act as a platform for people from different walks of life to come and spread their cognizance and share their sense of concern for a better society. The Half Marathon would be succeeded by the fifteenth edition of Techniche -The annual techno management festival of IIT-Guwahati where there are several enterprising and riveting events lined up to give you an everlasting experience.
