‘Jnan Taranga’, the first community radio of the north east has been broadcasting programmes with a good deal of community development content combined with educational and entertainment programmes. Community development programmes are based on the issues like health & hygiene, women empowerment, rights of the children, environment and bio diversity, career counseling, sports, legal issues, governance, youth programmes, agriculture and allied subjects, entrepreneurship, live presentation by the communities on the live issues etc. Community based programmes constitute over 60 % of the total broadcast of the ‘Jnan Taranga’. Presentation of the drama- both by the adults and children, songs – folk, traditional and modern constitute the entertainment segment. Educational programmes including awareness on the RTE Act 2009 and RTI Act are broadcast almost regularly in between the community programmes.

♦ Jnan Taranga is broadcasting 20 hours of programme daily.

• Fresh broadcast 4 hours ( 3.00P.M to 7.00 P.M )
• First Repeat- 8.00 P.M to 12.00 Midnight
• Second Repeat- 12.00 hours to 4.00 A.M
• Third Repeat- 4.00 A.M to 8.00 A.M
• Fourth Repeat- 8.00 A.M to 12.00 Noon
