The boom in the media industry has invited the attention of everyone
related to the print media. The sudden and unprecedented expansion of
the audio and audio-visual media has put the broadcast media industry on a new scenario. The scenario in the north-eastern India is no different. The past three years has seen the entry of several private television news and entertainment channels as well as FM Radio channels into this region.
This has given rise to a growing demand for trained professionals to run these organizations. Institutions offering training for the broadcast media are few. Therefore, the University has introduced these two one year PG Diploma.
