Offline application forms are invited by National Institute of Virology , Pune for Ph.D. programme who have Indian citizenship and having consistently good academic record. Candidates must have strong motivation to pursue research in modern biology leading to a Ph.D. degree. Candidates must submit the form in prescribed format to the Director, National Institute of Virology, S. No. 130/1, Sus Road, Pashan, Pune- 411 021 on or before 08th March 2016.
Minimum Eligible Criteria :
1. Students must have post graduate degree along with valid fellowship from CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC/DST-Inspire/BINC. Then they will consider for NIV Ph. D. Admission 2016 . Candidates from following departments are eligible – Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Bioinformatics, and physical science (including Biophysics).
2. For General candidates , Minimum Post Graduate Percentage must be 50% whereas 5% will be more reduced towards SC/ST candidates.
3. Age bar for General candidates is 28 years whereas 33 years for SC/ST candidates.
Process for selection of desired candidates is Personal Interview . Candidates must appear for the Personal Interview in front of Selection Committee . Candidates must bring all important documents while coming for the PI.

2) Caste Certificate issued by competent authority
3) Mark Sheets of graduation and post graduation.

2. Display of short listed candidates called for interview is 21/03/2016
3. Interview of the short listed candidates at NIV Will be displayed on NIV website in due course of time
4 . Declaration of results Will be displayed on NIV website in due course of time
