Faculty of Management, Gauhati University (GU) has announced admission notification for enrollment of candidates under Master of Business Economics (MBE) degree programme for the session 2016-18. Master of Business Economics degree programme is an interdisciplinary program offered by Dept. of Economics and Dept of Business Administration, Gauhati University. During course period, main concentration will be given on Management, Finance, and Economics based on the contemporary business economy.
Minimum Education Qualification:
Candidates must have a bachelor degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate or honours/major subject from any of the recognize universities. Final year candidates can also apply for admission but subject to submission of final graduation complete certificate on or before admission.
Selection Procedure for Admission:
GU has decided to follow some tight selection procedures for selection of the candidates
1. Candidates must appear a written test on various subjects like- quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, general awareness and proficiency in English.
2. Once qualify the written test, candidates will ask to appear for Group Discussion (GD)and Personal Interview(PI).
3. Final selection of the candidates will be carried by after review the all aspects – written test, GD and PI.
Candidates having more than 75% percentile in All India Common Entrance Test for CAT, MAT, ATMA, or XAT will be exempted from appear into the test.
How to apply for MBE Program, GU:
Candidates can get the application form from the GU admission cell counter or download the form from GU website. Forms will be available from 1st July to 20th July 2016. Candidates must deposit DD of Rs 300/- favoring Registrar, Gauhati University payable at Guwahati. Another examination fees of Rs 350/- must be deposited by the candidates in form of DD favoring Registrar, Gauhati University payable at Guwahati. Candidate who collect the form from GU office counter by paying of Rs 300/- , does not require to submit DD of Rs 300/- as mentioned above.
