Gauhati University has decided to conduct centrally an entrance test for the admission into B.Ed program under various B.ED colleges those are affiliated to Gauhati University(GU) and also recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education Act (NCTE).
Bachelor of education program leading to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is a professional course intention to provide more professional precision on theory, practicum, school-based activities and internship with best international standards. As per NCTE Regulations 2014, duration of B.Ed Program has been increased to two years.
Minimum Criteria for appearing into GU B.Ed Entrance Test 2016:
Candidates must have a bachelor degree or a master degree while appearing for the said entrance test from any of the recognized universities in India. Reservation and relaxation policy will be as per existing G.U. rules.
Online application forms are invited from the interested candidates to appear int entrance test. Link for apply online is available from 23th June 2016 at GU official website. Candidates must submit the complete application form on or before the 11th July 2016. Candidates must deposit entrance fees of Rs 600/- through online only. Once apply process is finished then admit cards will be available for download from the GU official website.
GU B.Ed Entrance Test 2016 Syllabus and Entrance Schedule:
Syllabus of the GU B.Ed Entrance Test 2016 is mentioned below for the reference of the candidates. Total 100 marks of MCQ type questions will be asked within 2 and half hours. Division of marks according to the subjects is also given below. Questions will be set in English where no negative marks will be given to wrong answer.

Proper weightage will be given to marks secured in the qualifying examination.
Example- if a student is secured 76% in the qualifying examination and 55% in the entrance test, the total score will be 7.6+5.5=13.1
