Tezpur University has announced the fresh notification on direct admission to for higher secondary position holders of 2016. Qualified positions holders must be from any recognize councils of North East States.

Direct admission is opened for the following programs under Tezpur University against the fulfillment of minimum educational criteria on Higher Secondary examinations 2016.

List of approved Programs :

1. BTech Program
   1. Computer Science
   2. Electronics and Communication
   3. Mechanical
   4. Civil
   5. Electrical
   6. Food Engineering
2. Integrated Programmes
   1. B.Sc/B.Ed  ( Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics )
   2. M.Sc ( Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics )
   3. M.A in English
   4. M. Com
   5. B.A.  B. Ed. In English

Educational Qualification:
Fulfillment of minimum educational criteria on Higher Secondary examinations 2016 conducted by the Council of North East States as follows –

1. Candidates holding top 5 positions with 85% aggregate marks will be eligible for the BTech Program.
2. Candidates holding top 10 positions with 80% aggregate marks will be eligible for the Integrated Program.

Controller of Examination, Tezpur University has also decided to award free studentship to the eligible candidates.
