Principal, Assam Engineering College has declared the schedule of post-graduation entrance examination on various disciplines for the session 2016-2018.

Candidates must qualify the PG Entrance Examination 2016 for enroll into listed Master of Engineering admission programs under specializing in –

1. Civil Engineering
a) Geotechnical Engineering
b) Water Resources Engineering

2. Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical Engineering
3. Electrical Engineering: Power Systems

Minimum Educational Criteria:

Candidates appearing for the AEC PG Entrance Examination 2016 must have the following eligible criteria –

a)     A engineering bachelor degree from AICTE approved university with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC/MOBC category and  50% marks for SC/ST category

b)    Qualified Valid GATE score card of 2015-2016.

Final year engineering candidates can also apply online for the PG admission examination program but subject to submission of final mark-sheets on the day of final PG admission.

Exam Details and Fees:

Candidates must appear and qualify an admission test. The test will be consisted of 100 MCQ type questions for 3 hours of duration. Negative marking will be applicable of 1 mark against 4 marks for correct answer for each question.

For appearing into the exam, candidates must deposit exam fees of  Rs 1000/- through DD in favor of  “Principal, AEC, SW Fund” payable at Guwahati.

 How to apply online for PG Entrance Examination 2016:

Interested candidates are requested to apply online for AEC PG Entrance Examination 2016 which will be as per GATE-2016 Syllabus. Before start the registration process, candidates must do some prerequisite tasks as follows-

1. Ready with Demand Draft
2. Valid Email Address
3. Scanned signature and photographs
4. Details of qualified educational mark sheets

3. Submit the form and copy Application Number
4. Then go to the applicant login page and download application form.
5. Print out 2 copies of the application form.
