MD recommends fresh amendments for DU Regulations for Research Council and Ph.D on immediate effect.

As per meeting held on 02.03.2016, Meeting of the Deans (MD) recommends fresh amendments on Dibrugarh University Regulations for Research Council and Ph.D. At MD, they have   approved the following clauses for fresh amendments in Research Council and the Academic Council, Dibrugarh University on immediate effect.

 

MD recommends fresh amendments for DU Regulations for Research Council and Ph.D on immediate effect.

Amendments are mentioned below –

  1. Formation of Doctoral Committee(DC) headed by the supervisor and  accompanied by minimum 2 faculty members but not exceeded by  5 members. Accompanied faculty members must have adequate knowledge on the research work carried out by research scholars
  2. Dibrugarh University Research Admission Test (DURAT) shall be conducted by the Dibrugarh University in centralized manner

 

Few modifications on Amendments 2 –

a)   Candidates eligible for admission into the M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes are eligible to apply for DURAT.

b)   DURAT exam will be conducted by the Board of DURAT clustered by VC, Academic Registrar and Member Secretary for tenure of 3 years.

c)   DURAT exam will be conducted once in a year.

d)   Validity of the DURAT score shall be only for the current academic session.

Interested candidates are requested to apply for the DURAT exam as per amendments recommended by the MD. Other criteria for appearing into DURAT exam may be unchanged but details of the same will be notified during the fresh entry process for DURAT exam.
